Yaz Birth Control, Could I Be Having A Stroke?? Help!!?

Okay so. I was on Yaz birth control pills for a little over a year (I stopped taking them about a month ago.) I know about the big lawsuit they’re in and how so many young girls have suffered from strokes and blood clots from taking yaz. Well recently I’ve been having a few symptoms of a stroke. Like my left arm (especially at night) is super weak to the point that I can’t even pick up anything because my grip isn’t strong enough. And I’ve been having extreme chest pains and my jaw on the right side has been hurting me constantly. I’ve read that all these could be symtoms of a stroke or heart attack and considering I had been taking yaz (plus I smoke..i know i know) I had been super worried about it.
Do you think this is all in my head? Could these symptoms not be linked at all? And if I was having a stroke or heart attack, wouldn’t I have already known by now or can it take several days or weeks?
Please please help. I’m seriously worried about it.

I would stop worrying and go make an appointment with your doctor.

The only way you’re going to truly know what’s happening to you is to go to your doctor. If you had had an actual stroke, here are the symptoms:
Numbness, weakness, or paralysis of the face, arm, or leg, typically on one side of the body
Trouble seeing in one or both eyes, such as dimness, blurring, double vision, or loss of vision.
Confusion, trouble understanding.
Slurred or garbled speech.
Trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination.
Severe headache.
Seeing as you’re able to type and think clearly, I think it’s safe to say that you haven’t had a stroke. However, you are having some physical problems which, possibly, could be due to stress and imaging what could be happening to you. Stop, take a deep breath and call your doctor or talk to your pharmacist. Yes, pharmacists can be very helpful. Take care of yourself!
