My dad just had a heart attack Thursday morning @ 2:30 a.m. His only symptoms were that his chest hurt & his left hand hurt. He had a 100% blockage in his right coronary artery. They put a stint in at 4 a.m. & he is pain free. He spent that night in MICU & late Friday was put in a regular room on the cardiac floor. He got to go home on Saturday morning. He will be 63 July 4th.My mother died of heart disease at the young age of 57. The heart is nothing to play with. I suggest that you go to the ER & let them run some tests. I heard that 900,000 people a year have heart attacks. Please don’t wait until it is too late. Please….if my dad would have waited 30 minutes more he would have been dead.

Heart attacks can be silent, no symptoms. So if you think your health needs medical attention, seek it!

Generally it is your left arm but you could have a blockage -
(stroke) so its best to error on caution and have an EKG and some enzyme tests run. You just never know – in this situtaion it’s best to be safe then sorry.
So go..

While I have heard that pains in the arms don’t always occur during a heart attack, I would err on the side of caution and go to the ER NOW and not wait around for somebody on Answers to find your question. Also, you can do a search for “heart attack symptoms”.
Last summer, my husband was having chest pains. We went to the ER immediately. Thankfully, it was just some pulled muscles. I was seven months pregnant at the time and we were in the middle of moving. Since my husband didn’t want me to move anything heavy (and my belly prevented me from moving awkward things, including boxes, anyway), he moved the big pieces of furniture around (instead of calling a friend or two). Thankfully, he was fine, but it was a wake up call for him. (He eats more like I eat now.)

I wouldn’t mess around. Better to be safe than sorry is the saying. Hopefully you have medical insurance in place, if not -so what, go to the Hospital anyway. I hope all is OK and wish you a happy healthy life!
