Im a hypochondriac really badly, everyday i find something wrong with me like today i was sure that i was haveing a heart attack or something cause my heart was beating fast, all of a sudden i thought about other symtoms of people who have heart attacks and remeberd it shoots down your left arm, about 20 mins after thinking about it my arm started tingling right above my elbow, i told my mom and she said your worrying yourself sick. Your fine!
is it true you can Really “worry yourself sick.”
im always comeing to her saying things like that and i want to stop!
could it really be in my head? is there anyway to stop being so scared of every ache and pain?

yes it is true. when you worry you create stress. stress affects your entire body. you can acquire stress related illnesses. it can cause hair loss, anxiety, heart attacks, strokes, migraines, insomnia, stress will kill you. stop worrying and live life.

OmG I was just like you! Everyday I would find something new wrong and my parents would tell me the same thing “you’re gonna worry yourself sick” and its true. You can make yourself think that symptoms are happening from certain diseases or whatever. So yes you can make yourself sick worrying just try to stay away from looking up symptoms and stuff that’ll make you go bananas

yes you actually can worry yourself sick, all the stress of it lowers your immune system causing you to get sick very easily, but nothing to the extent of a heart attack. im not a hypochondriac so i dont know how it feels to go through that but the best advice i can give is to relax and live life like you should

yes. the mind has total control over the body, and there have been cases and instances in which the mind creates symptoms in a person who cant stop thinking about it. even rashes and muscle pain, even heart rate, can be created/controlled by the mind.

Yes, anxiety and depression can cause physical symptoms which mimic real diseases. At the same time, you cannot rule out actual diseases because of your anxiety. You should seek help from a doctor who should be able to treat your anxiety and any other illnesses you may have.
