How Serious Is This Brain Thingy?

Okay plz don’t dismiss this as a panic attack straight away. Im a 17 guy, and sometimes(mostly at night) i get this attack. My heart aches a bit and i can feel it being unstable. I become very consious of my breathing and I feel that i have to concentrate on my breathing otherwise i won’t naturally. My lungs tighten up and sometimes i gasp for air. My brain starts hurting and i feel like im going to get a heart attack or die. Sometimes it just lasts for a minute, but othertimes it lasts for hours and I sweat excessively…
I am normally an extremely relaxed person, but sometimes just randomly i get this attack. Breathing excersises normally don’t work and i don’t get all panicky and lie on the ground and stuff. I just relax, but i can feel the strain of the attack.
Are there any symtoms of it being anything else? Like if it’s a brain tumor or phychological disease. I have a slight feeling that it’s not just a panic/anxiety attack. HELP!

I had a similar thing happen recently, the heart hurting, can’t breathe, and a strange feeling in my brain. Tightness, electricity…it’s a difficult thing to explain. It scared me really bad. I already have a “brain” thing so I went to my neurologist and when I described the feeling like I was going to die, he knew it was a panic attack.

I really have never heard anyone say their actual brain hurt, not even those with brain tumors. Are you drinking a lot of caffeine? Eating chocolate? I do know that caffeine use sent me to the heart specialist with similar symptoms, sans the brain pain. It’s something to consider.

I would recommend you to see your doctor for a physical for it could be serious. Its better to have it checked out then delaying it. If your not a doctor, then its best you see one. It might be part of one or the other and it might not be. Be safe, not sorry and go get checked. God Bless You!
